With its sleek white and silver looks, the Netgear GS608 is a perfect match for Mac users, as well as PC users alike. The switch comes with vertical stands so you can place this anywhere on your desk without cluttering it up even more. On the front of the unit, each port has it’s own indicator status light, that is easy to read at any time of day, in any lighting conditions. According to Netgear, the sides of the switch adapt to match it’s surroundings which is a nice feature if you’re obsessed with the perfect design.

Over the course of the testing period for the GS608 gigabit Ethernet switch, I encountered no problems whatsoever with the unit and saw an increase in performance switching from a fast Ethernet hub (not a switch) to a full fledged gigabit Ethernet switch. I highly recommend this switch if you are in need of an upgrade to your network.

Overall, I highly recommend this switch if you are still on Fast Ethernet (10/100mbps) or if you are on a budget, and need a simple, easy-to-use device for networking your home office or small business.
