Pentax introduces new slim cameras
Pentax announced two new slim and compact digital cameras Monday afternoon, the first being the Optio T30. Featuring a touch display with a wide field of view for great image capture and editing, it is one of the thinnest digital cameras featuring a 3″ LCD screen. It also features face recognition auto focus, and auto exposure, in addition to a high ISO digital shake reduction mode for those great party pictures. The innovative touch panel (can we say iPhone?) on the T30 allows image customization with drawing functions while a unique Mode Palette includes an Auto Picture mode to access camera settings.
The second addition to the Pentax lineup is the brand new Optio M30, featuring an affordable price and digital shake reduction, as well as a handful of features that it shares with the T30. It also bundles in a great digital SLR-like auto-macro function that allows you to get up to two inches away in Super Macro mode and less than four inches away from your object in Auto Macro mode.
Both cameras will be available in March and featured with the full line of Pentax cameras at the PMA 2007 trade show in Las Vegas. The price points are $199.95 for the M30 and $349.95 for the T30.
