Logitech MX Revolution Quick Look

Logitech has always been a key part in the computer peripherals business, and in my opinion, makes some of the best keyboards and mice out there. They've stepped it up a notch with the new MX Revolution. The MX Revolution is the latest wireless mouse in Logitech's lineup, and provides some very unique features.
The first of which is SmartShift technology, which automatically changes the scrolling mode to best fit the application you're using. Now, you may be wondering why this mouse has scrolling modes, and what each of them do. The MX Revolution has two scrolling modes: free-spin and click-to-click mode. Free-spin mode allows you to scroll through long documents at 'hyper-speed'. In this mode the wheel spins for up to seven seconds and can by stopped by the touch of your finger. On the flip side, the click-to-click mode is for detailed navigation, suited towards gamers playing FPS (first person shooters) games for things like switching weapons, throwing grenades, etc. It can also be used for things like stepping slide by slide through slideshows or line by line in spreadsheets.
I found the scrolling in this mouse to be particularly good, and it was very handy to scroll through long documents with the free-spin mode and not having to click through the wheel many times. The battery in the MX Revolution is rechargeable and lasts up to 16 days depending on how much you put it through. It charges using the included recharging station and connects via a USB micro-receiver to your computer. The acceleration and accuracy of the sensor was extremely good as well.
The mouse also includes various extras, including a document quick-flip features allowing you to flip between documents and applications easily.
Overall, the bottom line is, go out and buy one yourself today. Its innovative scrolling and great battery life could possibly make it the best mouse within the past couple of years.
