Earbuds and headphones have always been a competitive market in the audio industry. The latest addition to the market has been the Vibe earbuds from V-Moda. I recently had the opportunity to test them out, and here's what I have to say.

The V-Moda Vibe earbuds arrived in a sleek Apple styled package enclosing the earbuds, a protective case, an earbud cable wrap, and a different sized fittings that ensure a perfect fit within your ears. I received the Flashblack Chrome color, but there are other colors available including: Gunmetal Black, La Mocha, and Red Roxx.

The Vibe earbuds are extremely comfortable, unlike the Shure E500PTH in-ear earbuds we had reviewed late last year. After being worn for over an hour, I couldn't feel any discomfort between the fittings and my ear. As mentioned earlier, the earbuds include three different sizes of silicone fittings that can be attached on to the end of each individual ‘bud. The small size fitting worked best for me, but your mileage may vary.

Sound out of the Vibe earbuds was amazing and close enough in quality to the Shure earbuds but are almost 1/5th the price. The bass was just right, not too tinny, and not too high. The one thing I did have a problem with was the noise isolation. It wasn't the best, but these are marketed as noise isolating earbuds. Maybe it's just my ears, but I digress. If you are looking for something to listen to music on the plane, check out Bose's or Shure's offerings as those generally perform well in that area.

Overall, I loved these earbuds and have been using them the whole time with my iPod over the past couple of weeks. Whether your an audiophile, or just the music lover, you'll really enjoy this product as much as I did. The Vibe earbuds from V-Moda are available at V-Moda's website for $101.
