During the dog days of Summer, the Otterbox for iPod video is a product that really becomes useful. With people going on vacations to lakes, oceans, or other locales with water, this product is perfect for enjoying your music.The Otterbox for iPod video is a "waterproof, dustproof, dirtproof, sandproof, and drop-proof�? case for the iPod. The Otterbox is waterproof for up to 3 feet of water, which can be disappointing if it was dropped in deeper water, but this is better protection than nothing. The case is not buoyant with the iPod placed inside of it, so I recommend the Armband available from Otterbox for an additional $15USD or using the included belt clip.
The Otterbox provides protection of the click-wheel via a thin membrane which allows the click wheel to be fully functional in the case and underwater with no harm. The case features an external headphone port which connects to the internal port to provide protection for the iPod. However, one major complaint of mine is that there is no access to the hold switch, which any iPod user will tell you is an important feature on the iPod, so it got on my nerves very quickly.
Overall, the Otterbox for iPod Video is a great product, and we here at Connect look forward to see what Otterbox can do with the all-new iPhone.
