Xerox Phaser 6180N

Whenever I think of the name Xerox, I think high-quality color laser and multifunction copiers. The Phaser 6180N that we'll be reviewing today is a mid-range color laser from Xerox and has tons of great features.
The Phaser 6180N is equipped with Ethernet networking for sharing the printer over a wired network. It also supports USB and the older legacy Parallel port. Setting it up was no easy job. Xerox recommends that you set it up with two people, since the printer weighs about 60 pounds. And if you can't figure out how to set it up, Xerox includes an installation video on the driver disk and a manual with illustrations to help you out.
Jumping over to performance, the 6180N is a speed demon. Printing out a page in less than 10 seconds, text was extremely crisp and colors were bright and vivid. When we tried printing a high resolution Photoshop document over Ethernet the printer was excruciatingly slow – over 2-3 minutes to print 1 page. In our photo tests, printing out a full color page produced a slightly grainy image – but since this printer is mostly marketed at the business, we aren't surprised.
We were very impressed with this printer, since most color lasers only print at a minimum of 5 pages per minute. At $449, this is a great printer for a small or medium sized business and a $599 version is available with standard two-sided duplexing.
Pros
- Super-fast performance.
- Easy and user friendly setup.
Cons
