Logitech QuickCam Pro 9000, the best webcam for the money.

Logitech has kicked it up a notch to attract even more webcam users with the new Logitech QuickCam Pro 9000 webcam.
The driving engine behind this model is the Carl Zeiss lens with autofocus and the RightLight 2 and RightSound technology that Logitech has built into the camera and software. Also included with the camera are the Logitech Video Effects that we featured in our Logitech QuickCam Ultra Vision review earlier this year.

In terms of video quality, this blows the QuickCam Fusion away, and it’s $30 less. This is by far *the* BEST webcam I have ever used. What I said in the Ultra Vision review is no longer valid as of today. The Carl Zeiss optics take this camera to to the next level. The picture is crisp, and non-blurry thanks to the built-in autofocus. Audio quality was also great, surprising for a built-in microphone.
You can’t use the HD quality level of clarity inside of MSN Messenger or Yahoo Messenger, but you can record clips in the HD mode and send them to friends if you’d like. Another improvement over the Fusion are the Video Effects, they seem to be less choppy than before - it may be due to the higher quality video to detect your face and calibrate to it.
Overall, the QuickCam Pro 9000 gets our 5 out of 5 star rating, and at under $100, it’s a great deal. It’s available now at Amazon for just under $90 with free shipping.
