Samsung has just upped the game with their new 8500 Series LED HDTVs, bringing out both 46- and 55-inch 1080p models. These aren’t any ordinary televisions either, they offer some unique features popping up in new TVs all over the place. The new TVs have the new Samsung [email protected] suite including the Internet@TV service powered by Yahoo! Widgets. The new service allows you to access web content from Flickr, USA Today, Twitter, and YouTube, among others. The [email protected] suite provides wired and wireless DLNA compatibility and USB 2.0 ports for playing video and other multimedia from external hard drives.
The new 8500 Series measure only 1.6 inches deep and come with a built-in ATSC tuner as well as 4 HDMI inputs, 1 component input, 2 USB 2.0 ports, 1 Ethernet connection, 1 optical audio output, and 1 PC (VGA) input. The new 46- and 55-inch models will be available this September for $4,499.99 and $3,599.99 respectively.
