JPA IP3G 3 colors large Mophie Juice Pack Air for iPhone 3G & 3GS Review

Have you ever wanted to extend the battery life of your iPhone 3G or 3GS without having to carry around a bulky battery pack? You're in the right spot because the Mophie Juice Pack Air does just that and claims to nearly double your battery life. How is the battery life performance? Is it convenient? Find out after the break.

The Mophie Juice Pack Air is designed not to add too much bulk to your iPhone, hence the name, but it offers only 1200mAh capacity battery, instead of the 1500mAh battery that the original Juice Pack contains. However, this isn't too bad since the Juice Pack Air is capable of charging your iPhone from 10% to 70%+ battery life in less than an hour in our testing. The case is fairly easy to install, pop off the top cap and slide your iPhone into the dock connector located at the bottom of the case. Be careful when taking off the top cap though, because we've heard reports of some users snapping the cap, limiting protection of your phone.

It doubles the thickness of the iPhone, but also doubles the battery life which is a plus in this highly-connected world with increased use of data transfers on cellular networks. I was very pleased with the performance of the Juice Pack Air and found myself in many situations when I said to myself, "Crap, I left my charger at home." On long road trips I can't leave home without my Juice Pack Air at all. Plus, the Juice Pack Air charges via micro-USB, a connector which will only become more popular on portable devices.

Find the Mophie Juice Pack Air for $79.95 at Amazon.com in black or white.
