First Look: Dell Inspiron Mini 10 with Atom “Pinetrail” Platform

According to Liliputing and Laptop Magazine, Dell has updated its popular Inspiron Mini 10 netbook utilizing the new next-generation Atom "Pinetrail" platform we highlighted earlier. According to both websites, the new model will have the new Atom N450 processor and be available starting at $299 on January 5th. It will come loaded with Windows 7 Starter or Windows XP Home and features a textured wristrest area that is more fingerprint-resistant than earlier models. The new model will come with a 3- or 6-cell battery, which will allow for up to 8+ hours of battery life.
A number of other options are available including 3G, Bluetooth, GPS, and a higher-resolution screen (1366x768) as well as a built-in TV tuner. It will also be available in 7 colors including: black, white, blue, red, purple, pink, and green.
