CradlePoint is set to preview two of its latest 4G embedded routers later this week at CES. The new routers include one for people on the go and one for small businesses and home offices. The new CBA750 Mobile Broadband Router allows users to instantly add a secure 3G or 4G internet connection anywhere and share it with multiple users over an 802.11n wireless network, but it also allows them to convert the mobile broadband connection to a standard terrestrial Ethernet jack. One point that Cradlepoint emphasizes is the ability to place the router in a server room and still get a solid wireless signal without having to run power, since the Cradlepoint can get Power over Ethernet (PoE). The CBA750 is simply plug and play, as long as you have a 3G/4G USB or ExpressCard modem.
The model geared towards the office is available immediately for $249, while the portable battery-operated version will be available later this year.
