The latest netbooks to join the “Pinetrail” platform are from mainstream computer maker Gateway. The new Gateway LT21 series netbook is similar to the Acer Aspire One AO532h netbook we mentioned last month, and the fact that Gateway owns Acer and eMachines explains it. The LT21 model has a slightly different lid design, but other than that, it’s nearly the same from the Intel N450 Atom processor and X3150 graphics, to the “Multi-Gesture” touchpad and 10-hour battery life.

The LT21 series of netbooks will come in multiple configurations starting at $299.99 later this month in three different colors: Cherry Red, NightSky Black and Glacier White.
