It’s Here: Apple’s iPad
It's finally here. Having been rumored for years, Apple finally released its "latest creation". The iPad tries to find a nice middle-ground between phone and notebook, and does so with a 10-ish inch screen and a retooled iPhone OS. While it is primarily based on the iPhone OS, the interface has been largely redesigned for multitasking and a larger screen.
While no tactile keyboard is involved, typing on the onscreen keyboard, much like the iPhone's, is a "dream". We'll see for ourselves whenever we get a hands-on.
More will come later, but all in all, it looks like a solid addition to the Apple line of mobile products. Apple fanboys, you can stop holding your breath, it's here.
UPDATE: The iPad will be available in 60 days starting at $499.
