The next generation of DVRs and set-top boxes is finally here with the new TiVo Premiere and Premiere XL. The new Premiere models combine your cable programming, movies, internet video content and music into one box with a completely new interface. If you’re already familiar with TiVo, you’ll already be at home with the new interface which keeps the easy navigation of the older boxes, but combines it with new two- and three-column layouts for even easier navigation. The new TiVo Premiere allows access to such sources as Netflix, Amazon Video on Demand and Blockbuster On Demand plus Pandora radio stations, a feature that will be coming to all TiVos later this year.

TiVo is clearly focusing on the “one box” concept for their new line of products, meaning one box for all your TV shows, movies, music, and web content. The TiVo Premiere has 320GB of storage for 45 hours of HD programming or 400 hours of standard-def programming while the Premiere XL (which is THX certified) has 1TB of storage for 150 hours of HD programming and 1350 hours of standard-def programming. Both will be available in early April for $299.99 and $499.99 respectively.
