Hot on the heels of the iPad launch this past Saturday, Apple is holding an invite-only media event on Thursday, April 8th to give a “sneak peek” at the next version of iPhone OS. The company sent invites to multiple tech blogs and websites this morning. What this could mean, no one knows exactly, but sources are pointing to built-in multitasking functionality similar to Expose on Mac OS X.
We could also see a new user interface and HD graphics that could make their way to a new iPhone released later this summer. While we won’t be live blogging the event since we didn’t get an invite, we will be providing meta-coverage of the event. In the meantime, stay tuned for our iPad review.
