The latest Android device on T-Mobile will be hitting shelves in just a few weeks with the new Samsung Vibrant. The Vibrant is a Galaxy S device that emphasizes entertainment. The phone will come preloaded with the movie Avatar on a 2GB memory card and the Amazon Kindle for Android application, as well as MobiTV, Slacker Radio and a full free month of Gogo in-flight internet.
In terms of specs, the Vibrant has a 4-inch AMOLED touch screen, the Samsung Cortex A8 1GHz processor, a six-axis sensor for gaming, and of course, access to T-Mobile’s HSPA+ network. The phone will run Android version 2.1 and also has a 5.0 megapixel camera with autofocus that’s capable of shooting 720p HD video.
The Samsung Vibrant will be available July 21st with two battery cover options in blue and lavender for $199.99 with a two-year contract and data plan. The Vibrant will also be available for pre-order at 4,000 RadioShack locations starting July 1st, permitting you buy the $50 gift card as a deposit.
