The latest netbooks to join the “Pinetrail” platform are from mainstream computer maker Gateway. The new Gateway LT21 series netbook is similar to the Acer Aspire One AO532h netbook we mentioned last month, and the fact that Gateway owns Acer and eMachines explains it.

Through the Korea Newswire, Samsung has launched its latest netbooks complete with the Intel “Pinetrail” platform nearly every netbook manufacturer has integrated. The new N210, N220, N150 and NB30 netbooks have 10.1″ LED-backlit displays and the 1.6GHz Atom N450 processor which is standard for this platform.

Just before CES, Acer has announced its latest line of netbooks, complete with the new Intel Atom N450 processor which we covered earlier this month. The new Aspire One AO532h netbooks are capable of getting 10 hours of battery life, and include a 10.1-inch screen with a large keyboard and “Multi-Gesture” trackpad.

Intel unveiled its latest plans for their highly-successful Atom processor platform today. Their newest processor line will feature integrated graphics on the CPU, and enable power reduction to squeeze even more battery life into netbooks and nettops (Atom-based desktops).
