To add to this week’s Android hype, LG has announced their second-ever Android based phone. Aimed at first time smartphone users, the GT540 isn’t anything special technically speaking. The Exilim line goes as far back as creating the first “fashion” cameras that were thinner than any model before it, and Casio today has introduced four new models with 10x optical zoom in a compact enclosure and the ability to shoot HD video. The new EX-FH100 has a high-speed burst mode for getting those easy-to-miss shots up close, and the Exilim EX-H15, EX-Z2000, and EX-Z550 include a new feature called Dynamic Photo, which allows you to combine different moving images directly on the camera.

We’re in a world where everyone is trying to be green and companies are trying to make their products greener to stop global warming (read whatever you want into that), and Casio is the latest company to eliminate mercury from their products. The new “Green Slim” line of projectors have a mercury-free laser and LED hybrid light source that is capable up to 3000 lumens.

Earlier today, Toshiba rolled out its new Satellite T100 series. These ultra-thin laptops now include models with AMD Neo dual-core processors and are offered with both 13.3″ and 11.6″ displays. Portability seems to be the single word that drove this new design.
